We purchased the Jonathan Louis Juno Four-Piece Sectional less then a year ago from Weirs. We have purchased a lot of furniture here and have always really loved the quality and longevity of the pieces. This couch is just not the same though. We loved when we sat on it in the store (you would think the floor model would be pretty worn in), however, less than a year later this couch has looked and felt awful. We have taken standard measures of care with the couch and it looks like it’s at least 10 years old. When you sit on the cushions you feel the base of the couch and this just isn’t the quality we would have expected from Weirs! We have contacted customer service who sent a technician out to “examine” the couch. The technician was rude and continuously interrupted me stating this couch looks “far better then most” (which is not a good sign for the quality they are selling!). He said he would send pictures into the manufacture but they “won’t do anything”. He did make sure to fluff the cushions before taking his photos.All of this to say, you’re better off purchasing your furniture at a big box store if this is the customer service you are going to be receiving after being a loyal client for many many years.Also as other post have stated the GBS protection plan is a waste of time and money! They are a nightmare to work with.
Horrible reception called to see if they were open. Called the number listed on Knox store. Drove a long distance to get there called to see where to enter a hateful person said they weren’t open. I said you need to train who answers the phone to ask which store. She hatefully again said . I do. I hung up and will never go to any store. This day Feb102022 at 1:42
Worked with Rolanda Green in picking out fabrics for a special order sofa during a lengthy process. She was very patient and able to make suggestions for substitutions; her customer service skills were wonderful there and afterwards as she texted me updates and answered my many questions. Rolanda was able to get swatches sent to me from the manufacturer which was great. Unfortunately, for myself, Weirs, and the manufacturer, the time frame was longer than expected due to a variety of issues. I ultimately decided not to place a special order; if possible, I will use Weirs for furniture purchases again.
I have been loyal customer for 40 years. This last sofa purchase I also purchased their furniture protection package. I am thinking now it is a scam. I needed their services 2 months ago and it has been a nightmare. Still no service. I have called Weirs customer service twice and both times they have said “There’s nothing I can do”. Yes, there is. 1) Refund my money. 2) Select a reputable company 3) Pay to have my sofa cleaned per the agreement we signed.
The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced had a problem with the bed they never wanted to help they told us to call somebody else. They don’t care just when you buy some then the warranties over they don’t care about you! I would never shop there. We spent over $3000, the sales person did not want to help us again. Beware
We went to Weirs on a fact-finding mission, not really expecting to buy anything. My mom is in the market for a new love seat. When we arrived, we found a huge selection of couches, many at reasonable prices, but no love seats. A salesman told us that they dont stock them, but they can be special-ordered. So we walked around until my mom found an interesting couch. A seasoned lady (who, we found, is also a designer) gave my mom all the facts. She showed her a massive collection of fabrics, until the one was found. She priced the love-seat version and printed out all the particulars. The price was fantastic, very reasonable. The lady took a lot of time and interest in my mom. She was never pushy. in fact, she was very friendly and great with us. Now that we have the measurements, well check to see if it will fit in the space. Im almost certain well order the piece. Moms bought from Weirs before. Great selection, and reasonable prices can be had. Very pleasant experience all round.
Weve bought items over the years from Weirs on Knox and found the staff accommodating and informative. The products are high quality and fit our sense of home. Occasionally, while out and about, weve stopped in at competitors to compare. Usually we find: A. higher prices, B. lower quality, C. uninformed or disinterested staff. The best indicator is how quickly, if at all, you are greeted when you enter. Thomasville, Ethan Allan, etc. have been uninspiring and we just didnt feel like much more than a number.Weirs has the knowledge and interest to spend whatever time was needed to help us select the two chairs, sofa and tables for our new home at a price and delivery schedule that fits. I particularly like the quality of the items we selected and the durability posted by previous buyers of the same items. Quality at a reasonable price equals happy campers!!
I hate I didnt discover this store sooner! Great selection of furniture. I was looking for a dining room table for months at many different stores and online. Walked in here one day and found the perfect one...and it was on sale! Salesman and delivery guys were awesome. Im a sucker for good customer service. I will be back for more purchases.
One of my favorite furniture stores. Great selection. The staff are friendly and helpful without being pushy. Location is historic, right near the old soda shop. The store has an old-time shop with candy, popcorn, coffee, and nicknacks. There’s also an old post office inside. Furniture is high quality at a decent price.
The quality and price a so much better than places like Rooms to Go and Ashleys. I am very happy with my bedroom set and mattress. Also, the delivery guys arrived within 5 - 10 minutes of the 2 hour window starting, and they were friendly and fast. I will be going back for my living room and kitchen.
Weirs employees are very friendly and accommodating! However, the dining room table we purchased has fallen apart. This is the second table they have delivered. The delivery man told me after delivering the second table, this one still looks bad...you can come pick one out at the warehouse. He was so nice to offer, but I prefer to have a nice one delivered. Overall, nice people, but low quality furniture.
I LOVE WEIRS. My family has been shopping here for years. YOU SHOULD TOO. The people are SO friendly, and the atmosphere is great! Wonderful style and selection. They have cherry-picked the very best pieces which makes finding the perfect piece easy for people like me (I hate having to look at a thousand pieces and sift through things that arent even CLOSE to my style).I had gone to IKEA, Freeds, Stacy, Basset, you name it, looking for a dining room table after we moved, but I didnt find what I was looking for until I went to Weirs.The sales person (I think his name was Bob) was not too pushy, but had just the right amount of input. Wonderfully sweet man.Its also a great place for the kids with the old time country store/candy shop and $0.25 popcorn! That kept them distracted and made shopping a breeze.DEFINITELY recommend, will be coming back soon.
The sectional I purchased from this store, despite being moderately expensive, is extremely poor quality, with the material having deteriorated and peeled off the cushions in just 2 years, despite limited use. I was sold a warranty by the Weirs salesman that I was assured covered anything and everything that could go wrong with the couch. That was an outright lie as it does not cover manufacturer quality issues. Shame on me for not reading the fine print.
This Weirs location is closing very soon due to the new high rise moving to this quaint area. Weirs has been a go to store for decades here in Dallas. However in the last few years, i have noticed the options and quality are just not the same. I dont know if it due to competition and the internet or something else. It will be missed however, as there are some gems to be found. It is also the last quality type furniture store in the Main Dallas area where all others are in far North dallas and beyond.
It WAS such a treat to get fresh hot popcorn while going to the closest Post Office to where I live. I may live long enough for the new gargantuan building to be built and a newer Wiers be opened but it will never measure up to the rambling Knox Street store I grew up with.

2022-07-12I LOVE Weir’s! I have shoppped at this furniture store for 30 years, and my go-to salesman is Ken Wooten at the Knox and Travis store in Dallas. Ken is experienced, helpful, kind, patient, and knowledgeable! Weir’s furniture lasts a lifetime and holds up better than any other furniture I’ve ever purchased. Their prices are reasonable and fair, and their customer service is outstanding! I always purchase the warranty plan on the furniture I buy, and that too is outstanding. If you need to purchase stylish furniture that lasts through generations, shop at Weir’s! They have several locations in Dallas.

2022-04-05I went in today after receiving the mailer of the new grand opening. Was really disappointed in the floor manager. She was so rude and acted so annoyed to be there. While my salesperson, Vicki was very helpful, it was painful dealing with the manager, Cheryl when we had a question. I felt like I was in the movie Pretty Woman, the way she spoke down to myself and other customers and staff, even after spending $3500 in the span of an hour. I honestly planned to buy more items, but I didn’t feel good about staying another second so I went across the street and bought the rest for my home at Restoration Hardware. I hope they find the right manager for the clientele and location of this store. Dallasites expect good customer service.

2022-07-11A good selection of furniture but no one approached me for assistance. What made me the most sad was the poorly set up candy store, my mom use to bring my brothers and I all of the time and it was always a highlight. Going back and seeing the poor display with packaged candies and limited selection with no one behind the stand to greet me saddened me. I had to leave before my emotions got the best of me. That sounds extreme, but I was truly upset. No bees, no service, no smiles. Very sad to see what this establishment has come to.
