Called for service and specified that I needed to recharge my units as the air was not blowing as cold as it used to.The repair man insisted that recharge was a hassle and it just needed cleaning.He cleaned the outside and inside units which helped a bit.I asked if he should measure the air temp coming out of the unit to be certain it was 100% functional and he said there was no need for that.Id call them back, but I already spent $228 for a job I could do myself. I needed the temp reading and a recharge which he was reluctant to do.Thanks for nothing.
My technician was very informative about all the questions i asked and showed up and introduced himself in a very professional appearance . And completed a very thorough check of my air conditioning and assured me if any problems in the future to contact them right away
I had the best experience with Wilkes. Their office staff was courteous and pleasant to talk to, and they were able to get a technician to my home quickly. The technician was very professional and helped me understand all that was going on. I really appreciated their help and will continue to call them when things come up.
My mothers heat was not working and she was told by a AC technician that it would cost around $1500 to fix. We decided to get another opinion so I telephoned Wilks on Friday evening. I am so glad we contacted Wilks. Everyone we spoke to, Brittany, Alex, and Jim were courteous and displayed great customer service! The technician from Wilks, Jim, was helpful and got to work on finding the problem. After about 20 minutes he told us that the problem was a faulty thermostat. Jim was very helpful and patiently told us what was required to fix the problem if we wanted to go that route. My mother could not believe that the service call was free. We spent about $35 for a new thermostat and after we installed it the heat came on. My husband and I were so impressed with the all around great service we received from Wilks and Jim Loftus that we will certainly call Wilks again to come and service our AC system. I would gladly recommend Wilks in the future!
We have been with Wilks for over a year now since they installed our new unit, and I cannot say enough good things about this company. They are friendly, professional, and above all, they do things the right way. I had called regarding our maintenance agreement, since I hadnt seen any charges come through, and I was told that since our unit had a parts and labor warranty already, they stopped charging the payment after we signed on since we didnt need it. I know its a little thing, but its the little things like this that make me want to come back to a company. Highly recommended!
We would and do recommend Wilks to anyone who needs AC/Heating services. We have used them for the past 6 years and every employee we encounter has been awesome. Our last tech(Daniel Melton) was no exception. He was courteous, professional and explained everything in detail. We own a large two story home. On Friday, our downstairs thermostat went blank ... it was 104 degrees outside. Wilks installed our two new systems in June 2017. We called Wilks and they responded immediately. We were literally shocked that they said they could be at our home that afternoon. Jim Loftus, Wilks very capable technician, arrived timely and quickly located the problem, went to work and fixed the issue, including giving us a full description of the problem and solution. Were so grateful for Wilks as a company as well as their responsive and pleasant problem solving approach. We consider ourselves Wilks customers for life and simply see no reason to use any other company. In fact, we believe everyone should use Wilks. And, yes, prior to researching and using Wilks to do our replacement/install 3 years ago, we used other companies for maintenance purposes. We simply were not familiar withWilks at the time. What a magnificent and outstanding service difference. The other companies are incomparable to Wilks ... its likenight and day; that simple. Wilks is an outstanding company that treats people and customers with dignity and respect and so were more than pleased to offer an outstanding review for a company that does what it say it will do in a professional and competent manner ... and without unnecessarily gouging the customer. Was interested in this company as i had heard positive reviews. Scheduled an appointment at 3:00 PM 3-4 days prior to appointment. Day of they call asking if they can come earlier. I was busy with another appointment and could not answer. They then showed up at 2:00 PM while I was with another appointment and said they could do it then or they would have to reschedule for later in the week. I am not a fan of people I do business with not respecting my time. I understand it was better for their time flow management I guess but I had other obligations and was ready to meet with them at 2:40 but they had already left.
I’ve been using Wilks air conditioning for 3 months. This company is incredible. They are honest, professional. Every technician that has come to my home has been courteous and knowledgeable. Technician Jim has been at my home twice. He has found the problem quickly and fixed it quickly. Jim is just a great person. I sighed up for the maintenance plan and it’s already paying off. Guy was my technician for an intermittent issue with low voltage line loss across a couple of the five lines in the system - we would get a system inoperable message that we couldnt clear. The issue wasnt immediately apparent when he started, but he kept working it until he figured out where the line loss, fixed it, and the system is running properly again without the inoperable alerts. Superb persistence, great professionalism, dedication to customer happiness and quality system repair!
We have had nothing but a GREAT experience from Wilks. I cannot recommend them enough. Prompt, courteous, reasonably-priced service. I recommended them to my neighbor and they did a great job for him also. If youre not getting exceptional service from your AC service provider, give them a call.
Wilks continues to take care of my family. Small issue with my system last night after business hours. They still responded (at 9pm) and had Brent out to my house by 730 am. Less than 30 minutes later system was back to running smooth and he then did a complete system check-up! Im again comfortable! Absolutely have earned a customer for life!
Job well done! This is a family owned business that gets the job done at an excellent rate. Use them to come out twice a year to do maintenance on the AC and furnace. Each technician I have had has been outstanding and incredibly professional. They even where plastic shoe covers when entering your home. Great touch. Shows they are considerate of your home.Have been using them for over 2 years now and still happy! Just used them to install my smart thermostat.
Just want to give a big shout out to Wilks AC for installing a brand-new system and duct work for my home. My experience with Patrick Wilks and his team were top notch. They were highly skilled professionals, very courteous and the quality of work was exceptional. It is not very often that someone can say that they were ecstatic to pay a contractor.
Weve been using Wilks for about 2 years and they are incredible! We have their service plan which keeps us in good shape and when we have trouble, theyre out here VERY fast! Each technician is friendly, professional, and skilled at their job. Our heat went out last night and they were out here this morning. The technician worked diligently for an hour - going in and out of the cold rain probably 20 times. He smiled and reassured me that he didnt mind and that hed find and fix the problem...and he did! We are first-time homeowners and finding reliable service providers has been challenging. We are so happy we found Wilks!

We have been using Wilks for over 20 years for our business and home. I have never had a bad experience dealing with this company. Every time we have had a service representative out at our location they have proven to be professional, fair, efficient, and trustworthy. The recommendations have always been in our best interest. A great company to do business with.
My AC went out, needing it repaired as soon as possible, I called a 24 hour company. This company came out at 9:30 in the evening. The technician spent about 10 minutes to diagnose me with a blown compressor. He said that I needed to replace the whole system and that they could do it for 8600. I asked him if there was ANYTHING he could do, just for a few days until we could get a loan set up?? I have 3 Asthmatics in my home and keeping the Windows open with the high mold in the air was not an option. He told me that there was nothing that he could do. He charged me 89 dollars and left. The next day at 230 I came back from the store to see Wilks outside my home, Id forgot that I had called and set up an appointment. I explained to him what my AC was doing and that the other company had said it was old, shot and needed replacement. The Wilks man opened up the AC found wires not hooked up properly and even wires not connected! He told me about their monthly plan which gave me a GREAT discount on the part needed completely cleaned rewired and checked my whole system! The Wilks technician said that my system was old BUT still in good condition and that a system like mine was built to last! Needless to say I was extremely grateful for the integrity and character this company showed. Their prices are very fair and the work done was awesome! 300 dollars is waaaaay better than 8600! Most importantly it made my children comfortable:)
We have been using Wilks for years and will continue so. Their knowledge, customer service and product offerings are top notch and reasonably priced. All the technicians we have had come to our the houses throughout the years have been fabulous. As a renter at the time the system began blowing cold air all of a sudden mid winter, the first company sent out to address this, took 3 attempts to try to remedy the system and was going to sell the homeowner a new furnace! I suggested another opinion be sought as that just didnt sound right and Wilks quickly identified the back panel had fell in the system. Easy fix! When we bought a home, they inspected everything and were so helpful in the process. The house came with a Home Warranty and soon enough the AC was not blowing cold. Home warranty company sent out another company 5 times - adding freon, removing freon, etc... We had had enough of this nonsense and called Wilks. One visit the system was fixed and problem resolved. They truly have the experience and knowledge that you want working on your HVAC.
Thomas came out and repaired a job we have been trying to get done with another company since July 3rd, it is now July 27. He came out this morning, diagnosed the problem, picked up the parts needed, and completed the repairs. He then took the time to explain what was done and provided detailed information on our invoice. Later in the day he took the time to discuss the pictures he had taken and sent to us so we could further understand the issue. We will be using Wilks Air from now on and recommend them highly. Courteous, professional and proficient from the first phone call to the last.
We have used Wills for a few years now on their standard service plan. They always take great care of our dinosaur of an AC system and keep us running. They always take care of everything and go the extra mile to do a great job. Will always recommend them to anyone who needs work done!!
Have used Wilks A/C company for many years and always have had excellent service. Recently, Patrick came to investigate an A/C problem in my attic and sent two service techs to fix the problem. Jim and Joe were efficient, friendly, polite and fixed the problem in a timely manner. I really appreciated that they vacuumed the attic floor so they wouldnt be tracking dust inside my house. Great service! We scheduled a new a/c unit to be put in the middle of September but last night our current one died. I contacted Wilks for help and they sent a technician right out at 9am this morning to fix it until our new unit is put in. We have not paid them anything yet and they helped us right away. It is hard to find companies willing to help a future customer. Thank you to all who work for Wilks. Absolutely GREAT Customer Service!
Finally, an HVAC company you can trust. My house wasn’t cooling today so I called Wilks. My tech, Jim, discovered that I had a bug in the contactor which was preventing the condensing unit from running. They fixed the problem free of charge since it was simple and ran diagnostics since they were already on site to see how my unit was running. I’ll definitely be calling them back the next time I need some work done.
Called them from out-of-town for furnace repairs for my father. Selected them based on good reviews and was VERY pleased. They were at my Dads house with 2 hours, within the promised time window, diagnosed the problem, fixed it. Fast service, knowledgeable technician, 5 stars.
We just had our entire heating and air conditioning system replaced by Wilks. Our house is a 1940s era bungalow with lots of challenges and complications for the installers. We went from a 2-unit system to a single. Gregg did the estimate and initial design, and explained the equipment options and how the install process would work. The process went smoothly with Fernando Munoz supervising his team for the demolition and installation. I would also like to commend Ryan, Cody, Joel, and Garrett for their professionalism and skills to make this a success. The attic install is a very neat and clean layout. The outside unit placement and install is also clean and neat. I was very impressed with Thomas Pawlik of Wilks Air Conditioning & Heating. He came out to assess my 23 year unit. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain options from repair to replacement. The installation staff that came out was very professional and even cleaned other debris that other AC companies left in attic. Also, they corrected my water heater venting that was incorrectly installed by a different company. I would certainly recommend this company.
Recently I had my A/C (interior/exterior) unit replaced by Wilks. From day one when I was briefed by a representative from the company and gave us a clear explanation on the differences types of A/C units (SERE) and presented us with a recommendation as of what units will more suitable for my house size. The representative did a outstanding job. Once we selected the unit of our choice, the installation date (one day) was nothing but a class act. The craftsmanship and cleanness of the entire installation process I can easily compare it to same precision that NASA launches a Space Shuttle to space. We prepare to recommend Wilks to all our friends!
Amazing knowledge and service. We had a total of three evaluations and with each company the issue grew more complex and expensive. These guys know what they are doing. They came out to help us identify why we are having major dust issues in relatively new construction home. The outcome was eye opening . The technicians were not only able to pin point problem areas but show me and teach me in a language that I could understand. I trust Wilkes and will be reccomendeding their services everychance I get. There is much more to your HVAC system than most of us know, call them and you will see why I trust them for my home.
My experience with Wilks was amazing! It was 100 degrees today so when our A.C. suddenly broke at 3pm in the afternoon I was sure it was going to be an overnight crisis. Nope! Wilks was out to fix it 45 mins later. Offered fair pricing, and fixed it better than it was before within an hour. Love them! My family thanks you guys!
Exceptional service! Rick came out within an hour of my phone call and made this a hassle free process. My AC went out last night and he explained what the issue was offered a solution with a very reasonable price and fixed the issue my AC was back up and running in no time. He even gave me helpful advice on how to avoid issues in the future. I will most definitely be calling anytime I need AC assistance.
My ac’s ability to cool went out yesterday evening. On the recommendation of a friend I called Wilks. I was very happy they are open on Saturday and hoped they could work me in. I called around 9:30 and was given a 2-4pm window. They called back about a hour later to let me know they could send someone over.Thomas was my service guy. He got right to work and figured out what was wrong. He gave me costs with tax. I started feeling cooler air within a hour! I had him do some additional maintenance which took another hour. Thomas took time to talk about filter types and why certain one make the ac work a bit harder.I was very pleased with the work, Thomas’s service, and the fact my 17 year old ac sounds better than ever!I will be using Wilks again and recommending them to others.
Absolutely the BEST!!!! Customer service A+! Honest reliable and best prices in town. They have been our go to company for the last 5 years after our AC caught on fire! My A/C went out one afternoon last week, and it was hot!!. I called Wilks, and they told me they would be there between 4 and 6 PM and they WERE! Im impressed with that. Daniel came to the house before 6, we discussed the problem, and he fixed it within a hour; it was the capacitor. The young lady who took my initial call was also very organized and courteous. Very professional folks!
Our unit was not cooling properly and water had accumulated around the base of the inside unit. I was able to “text” Wilks for advice as to what steps I should take until a technician could take a look.Their advice was spot on and we had a technician onsite the following morning. I couldn’t have asked for better service. Thanks again
A real person answered the phone. Same day service available when our outside unit made a bad rattling sound. Quick, on time, professional, and free service call that included measuring everything and checking out the entire system. These are our guys from now on and I recommend them to anyone.
Called Wilks for an a/c emergency. Only one word outstanding! Jim was here for 1 hour fan was stuck in vent tube due to moisture he gave me things to do to help prevent it from getting so bad . Showed me how to fix it next time . Didn’t charge me a single dime he said it basically was a service call and I don’t owe anything. Now I’m a customer for life. Very honest people
OutstandingWe had a problem with our AC. I sent an email to the business. As usual, I got a call the next morning because of some trouble codes I received. If I could give zero stars I would! Rude service technician and over priced. When I told him that I thought his quote was high he could care less. I called the office back to let them know and the young lady told me she would call me back but again..... she did not and could care less! Spend your money with a company that cares about their customers!

2022-05-05Saturday night our AC stopped working, we went online and booked an appt. for Monday morning. The technician arrived on time and within a short while found that we had a major freon leak that probably killed our compressor. Long story short we chose to replace our old system, Wilks didnt hard sell us, simply told us the options and price and why they would suggest one over the other. After we had decided I called and the next morning they came to install the system. What impressed us most was their care for the little things, most companies dont care about the details. The person who installed the system cared about the details and it shows. If you need an AC trust Wilks!

Britney who answers the phone is lovely compassionate and gets the appointments done. Jason the repairman was also very professional and very courteous. He explained the issues clearly. 2022-05-11So glad I went with Wilks. from the beginning with the diagnostic, they offered solutions other than just saying we needed a new unit, explained how long each solution would work. we ended up going with a new unit though. from scheduling to installation it was quick and easy. they have an informed crew that gave me several solutions for an additional intake as well, were patient while I worked through the decision. I didnt want a new hole in the wall but they explained clearly I wouldnt be getting the best out of the unit if I didnt. thats what a great company does, helps you make informed decisions. would recommend to all.

2022-05-20I saw this company praised in reviews for a separate company so decided to give them a call. The representative was friendly and set me up a same-day appointment between 12pm and 2pm. They called around 11 to check if it was okay for him to show up early which I agreed. The technician arrived 20 minutes later just as the representative said he would. His name was Guy and he was polite and professional. He checked upstairs and noticed the coil was frozen and said hed thaw it and check the unit outside. After it thawed and he turned the AC back on and checked the unit outside he determined nothing needed to be fixed at the moment and that the fan must have shut off at some point and turned back on after awhile but the coil had froze by then making it difficult for the system to cool the house to the desired temperature. He answered my questions and gave me advice on what to do if it happens again. He also said the visit was free of charge. Overall, my experience was a good one and I think the technician Guy was professional and knowledgeable and he didnt try to swindle me or push a new unit on me like other companies do. I would definitely use Wilks again in the future.

2022-05-31We had an A/C issue on Memorial Day. I contacted Wilks. They had a technician out within three hours and the problem diagnosed/rectified within 45 minutes. Fast, efficient, friendly and quality work. I can highly recommend this company.

2022-07-03Review based on pricing not service. Received multiple quotes from them ranging from of $18,500 3ton/14 seer to $29,000 for a 3ton/ 18seer on new construction home. Ended up going with a new unit for $8000 3ton/15 seer with a different company and same warranty ,full installation. Definitely get multiple quotes. Ive had the system for two years now with out any issues so Im not sure what paying them an extra $10k to $20k would have gotten me.

2022-03-215 stars for professionalism and work completed.Questionable pricing....$650 for installation of the disconnect box. The part itself is likely $50. I was unaware that I was paying a high price until I called a few other repair companies after the work had been completed and they informed me that the price I paid was high. Their estimate was around $300. I assumed price would be fair since they have a lot of good reviews.Beware of high prices and make sure to call around for estimates!

2022-07-08Had two different fellas come to the house for servicing, both were clean cut—no saggy pants period. I don’t think Mr Wilkes would ever allow any male to dress in this manner, no matter how outstanding this person is at his job. Both were Texas friendly and personable, of course. One wouldn’t live in Texas if we weren’t friendly ! Inspite of the heat, both of these young gentlemen took the time to fetch a couple of throws to our pup(5 yrs).We have only called on good ol’ Wilkes AC/Heating when in need … they get a five stars!
