OMG Best RV resort we have stayed at. The community is like one big family, extremely freindly and fun to be around. I am a very active person and tried to attend all the activities I was interested in. Had to take a day off to rest. Dont want to leave, but will be back next year. Shelly :>)
The RV park was very clean and had lots of amenities. The Wi-Fi worked fairly well, but the big girl was the swimming pool for the kids. The pool is heated so we all got to swim even though it was really cool outside. Laundry facilities worked well and were very clean.
Most overpriced park in the Rio Grande valley. Shopped several different 55+ gated parks from Mission to Brownsville and this is the worst bang for the buck. The facilities, landscaping, and roads were average. The touted resacas are stagnant and stinky. They put dye in them to make it look good. The fellow that gave us a tour of the park said that there were fish in the resacas, but he wouldnt eat them. The folks that we met were nice, but thats the most positive thing that I can say.
I purchased a lot with an RV on it. Itβs a mixture of rvβs, manufactured homes, and stick built homes. I was today informed that I could not hang sheets and clothes in my carport to dry! Itβs against the rules. I drove up after ripping down my clothes lines to the office and requested a copy of the rules. The office gave them to me and I could not locate where it is written I cannot hang my clothes out in the carport. I was then told by a neighbor that certain people complain and it immediately becomes a rule. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My wife and I work at the public schools in San Antonio area and are advising any teachers to not buy here. This place is run in my opinion by assclowns!

2022-04-20Very nice area that is very clean. Gated entry with a guard that comes to you to see the nature of your call and even gives directions. Excellent customer service. I would recommend this subdivision.

2021-11-10We rented an RV space for a few days. Beautiful, 55 plus park. Clean and secure, with 24 hour guard at the gate. Very nice people are here. Renters and owners and Winter Texans all. We will definitely be back again.

2021-11-15Probably the most desirable Winter Texan destination. The park has an artificially made resaca which is very appealing. They also have a community garden and are environmentally minded with a composting area. However, I did not notice a recycling area.

2020-12-1711 spots designated for CtoC members right up front, unfortunately along the road. Beautiful 55plus community with waterways and 2 beautiful swans. 1 of 3 pools open. Good hot showers. An extensive section of books to borrow. Friendly accommodating staff.

2020-12-07We lived in Winter Haven (a gated community for 55 and over)for four years. It is an RV resort that also has houses for permanent residents and also privately owned places available for rent throughout the year. It is a wonderful resort with alot of amenities to enjoy while youre there. Really nice and big clubhouse where they have lots of activities everyday. Putting green for golfers to practice. Shuffle board, Bocce Ball, tennis courts, go for a walk or run or a bike ride on the beautiful paved streets with sights like the wonderful ressacas (water ways) and beautiful tropical blooms all along the way. And you may see two lovely swans that are residents of the park. Then choose from the three heated pools for a cool down or a warm up in the clubhouse jetted hot tub. Rest up a bit and in a 30 minute drive you can be on South Padre island for Fun, Food and of course the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Enough said...I tend to ramble as I love it so.

2021-02-20Electrical problems with pedistal. Mgr was extremely slow to respond and finally moved us to a new site. The new site required over 50 ft of cord to reach pedestal. Moved to 3rd site before finally getting settled. The sites are all very tight and impossible to back into if you not headed the right direction. Of course no one informed us of this. This is a gated retirement community that has approximately 20 RV sites.
