This is a new shop, and Im glad to see this kind of quality this far North. Its a pretty small location, but they fit a huge range of glass pieces, plus every smoking accessory you could ever need.The employees were very helpful but not pushy. They let me compare two grinders with vastly different price points without trying to push me toward the more expensive option. They were patient and easygoing.Id definitely recommend this store to my friends, and Ill be returning here in the future. Also, the name is pretty fun to say.
Went in today to look at new pieces and had a really great time! the guys working there were super friendly and knowledgeable about their entire stock. Really cool use of space so it feels cozy and safe in there but enough room to be lined with a huge selection of different items. The variety was awesome it took me forever to pick out a new pipe since there were so many different awesome selections to choose from. Defiantly this is a place that I will always recommend you shop first and last to the other smoke shops around Austin. The prices are fair, the owners and staff are amazing and the choices are vast and hard to make if youre just looking for one. honestly I was torn between two full shelves and had to talk it out with one of the owners and finally decided on piece. Thanks Wizard Hat Smoke Shop! youll be seeing be a lot!
LOVE THIS PLACE! Stumbled across this shop after seeing a sign of theirs and Im so happy I did! Wizard Hat has become a regular weekly stop of mine. Love the selection of glass and amazing prices and the guys working are always super friendly and knowledgeable. Hands down 150% better than going to PK
Nice shop, nice employees, free lighter after purchase. Only complaint is the small parking lot. But normally when I go theres a free spot.
Good customer service, good music, awesome place to go shopping for 4/20. They had a great sale, all glass was 20% off for the day, plus you got entered into a raffle.Overall selection of glass is wonderful, from nice $10-20 pieces to $3,800 heady glass. Also what I would call heady pins, cause their pins were radical. I would highly recommend stopping by here even if you just need a lighter, some screens or some papers.
Greatest shop Ive ever been to. Love the chill vibes and friendly people. I went in there planning just to look but thats really not possible with all the different products. I ended up buying a water pipe for my tobacco and a few other tobacco smoking apparatus. Wizard Hat is definitely my new home.

Solid customer service in an industry known for its aloofness is always a fantastic thing to stumble upon.My friend that moved to Denver recommended this to me, and he says he still uses the dab rig he got at Wizard Hat, even while being in the heartland for proper pieces.They set me up with a new rig, all the bells and whistles, and gave me a good deal on each piece. Gonna be a customer here for a long time to come.
Always a great experience. Selection is pretty light, but it is also a smaller shop. Could you get more expensive and elaborate pieces elsewhere? Yes, but why? Friendly people that always want to take care of you!
My boyfriend likes the Kratom they sell and one of the guys is really nice... Other guy not so much - I love and utilize dry humor, but he was just dry... Other than him, cool people, good merchandise, and fair prices
The gentleman at the counter was super friendly when I walked in, asked me what I was looking for and gave some suggestions. He then let me put all the pieces I liked on the counter, so I could compare them, which was awesome. I ended up going with a piece he picked and I’m in love! This shop is absolutely fantastic! Between the beautiful pieces and the awesome customer service there is no reason to go to any other shop. Its a small building but dont think they are short on selection. I would rather spend $50 on some Austin made glass than $10 on some random made in China glass at a big name rude service shop.
Great prices on good quality kratom. Staff is always cool and kind. Wish they had more locations. But Ill continue to drive 20 minutes north to do business until then.

The people here are always friendly and helpful. I went in to make a purchase, and instead of trying to upsell me something I didnt need, helped me figure out exactly what I was looking for and at a better price than what I was originally looking at. I will keep going back here. If you dont know what you want, they will help. If they dont have it, theyll get it. If they cant get it, unlike EVERY other store, will point out where to find it elsewhere. They genuinely care about their customers.

This is an awsome local smoke shop. I would highly recommend you check it. The owner is a really nice guy that employs friendly staff and ensures quality service. I was helped by Cory, who spent time explaining the differences in glass and so on. I left happy after making a solid purchase and getting a couple fun accessories in the process. A+ service
This shop looks nice on the inside but truthfully I only stayed in there for a few min because once I realized the price gouging on their mango Juul pods I was really annoyed!! I manage a smoke shop in Dallas and I know the cost on the pods are the same no matter the flavor so to do something like that lets me know what type of business you run. Maybe try not to rip people off next time!!

This shop is brand spanking new. Youll find an awesome variety of pipes. Stuff made from local Austin artist. Tone and Kyle (owners) are very easy to chat with. I probably spent a good hour in the store looking at all cool stuff. Check it out for yourself!

This place is legit! It has tons of cool glass, and the owner is super nice. I bought a grinder and he threw in complimentary hemp wick and two lighters! Definitely will be my go to from now on!
This is my go 2 for the occasion. Best products with a kind, knowledgable staff, and they are always open to suggestions. Ive been with them since before they got; and turned them on to thickassglass, and its there. They literally have everything heady you may need and with the best pricing. They got the spaceglass, and they got everything a wizard needs.

I had the same experience with the same guy who works there!!!!! I come to this location since it’s closer to my apartment. I walked in the other night without a mask and the girl working was fine with it. Today the associate who looked like he hadn’t showered in a month yelled at me and refused my sale. I took an Uber and everything and he was literally yelling at me in front of everyone. So I put my sweater around my face which is more effective than the nurses mask he was wearing and still was refusing. Basically I could have been in and out within 30 seconds but he decided to keep arguing with me. So I told him I’ve been standing here for 3 minutes and your going to lose out on a sale as I am here alrighty. He finally let me pay, and yells at me in front of everyone “NEXT TIME YOU COME HERE YOU BETTER WEAR A MASK!” And I told him what makes you think I’ll ever come back here? White Dragon Botanicles has way better product and much nicer! And lastly as I walked out, this guy screams “YOU BETTER APOLOGIZE TO EVERYONE IN THIS STORE!!!” I’ll never shop there again. I should have drove the extra minute to White Dragon.i can’t believe the unprofessional behavior this maniac who works here acted.

There was barely any butane in my torch lighter. I expected it to be full so I didnt bother checking when I bought it.
Awesome selection of vape and smoke wares.Staff member was very helpful in answering my questions and gave a recommendation on a vape that best suited my needs. I havent been in almost half a year simply because the vape I bought was such great quality that I still have it!

Wizard it Hat is one of the most amenable head shops in town. They have a full selection of glass, vape, and botanicals (Moon) making it worth the drive where ever youre at. If theres a problem with your botanical get a hold of Moon on Facebook, explain the issues, and they will take care of you. The staff for the shop itself is friendly and will strike up a conversation, learn more about your needs, and provide their educated solution for your need. They can also just talk so if you have no where to go afterwords you can sit around vaping and talking shop. Cool place. Cool people. Superior products.If youre looking for a botanical nothing beats Moon in quality and price, which they are constantly lowering to reflect market value. Mad decent shop. The gentleman behind the counter was pretty knowledgeable about glass. One thing I wish they had was more knowledge of the glass blowers themselves. Its cool to know who the artist is.

Not sure who answered the phone 3/7/2018 7pm sounded like he didnt want to be at work l asked a question about kratom wasnt to helpful and very short..but l went in the store a few weeks ago and the guy at the counter was cool and up beat and cared about me the consumer...2 stars for the guy that answered the phone..5 stars for the store in general an best price and good quality around

2022-05-13Wizard Hat Smoke Shop is the premiere North Austin destination for quality glass at fair prices. Their selection of dab rigs, bongs, and spoons is varied and most of it is local or Texas artists. I try to pick up a few pieces to add to the collection each time Im in Austin. The customer service is top-notch with feedback and recommendations. Michael, who has helped me with my last 2 purchases, is knowledge and has that genuine love for the art. Visit these guys the next time youre in the area and I am positive youll find some unique pieces to add to your arsenal.

2022-02-19I checked out this store yesterday morning. I was so happy that they opened early. It was small and cozy. The glass made items were so nicely detailed. I loved the muggles sign in the window. The girl working there was so chill and friendly. Will definitely be a returning customer. She even threw in a free lighter that was ironically my favorite color. Thanks so much!

2021-07-24Wizard Hat is my go-to smoke shop! They have a really good selection of stuff and the prices are good, and they also have some more artistic expensive stuff if that’s your thing. The folks that work here are always chill and helpful but not pushy. Sometimes I know just what I want but often I need a little help, and they’re always good at educating me so I can pick out what I need. The only thing I couldn’t find here was a good selection of lighters (I was looking for a refillable with a side flame) but that’s cool. I got one elsewhere and will continue to shop here for my pipes, bongs, and grinders.

2021-11-10Went in looking for a ash catcher for my bong and they only had 2 options to chose from which were both unfortunately 45 degree angles also had very limited glass items more of a place to get papers and stuff like that if you need a new piece or attachment I recommend going somewhere else. The guy with the long hair that was there tho was very cool and informative

2021-05-18Awesome locally owned smoke shop! I’m so used to Planet K but Wizard Hat is definitely holding its own. The prices are great and so is the the selection.The staff are friendly and don’t hesitate to answer my many-many questions. I’ve found really awesome products at Wizard Hat that I haven’t been able to find anywhere else so I’ll be coming back soon and more frequently.
