World Market in other cities:
The friendliest experience of service and laughter! I was shopping for 2 hours.. you because one gets carried away with all the creative ideas... and Gail was helping me the whole time! Not only did she have answers to all my questions- she gave me tips for discounts- called other stores for me- and gave a few of her own ideas to help me out.... all this while sharing some belly laughs! Looking forward to seeing my new friend again!
Poor customer service. I had reserved a price for an item. During the lengthy time it took for the item to be shipped to the store for pick up (almost 3 weeks) I received a coupon for a discount. I was told my price was reserved and the coupon could be applied. Upon pick up I was unable to and I came back a few days later to speak with the general manager about it, still nothing. They need to honor what they say or retain their employees so only facts are stated.
I.as a rule love this place for the unusual, wines from different regions, countries, interesting items for purchase. Outside of some difficulty in getting easily into that shopping center due to its awkward location, I had no other complaint. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff.
I have never been in a more unprofessional run store nothing had prices on it several items on shelf not priced like the international section over half the shelf dont d have price tags not clean store had a weird smell customers were nasty licking fingers ECT then touching items in the store the problem was the store not the customer servicesAshley the cashier was very nice and efficient with the check out process
This is a place that you go to got specialty items (especially treats from Europe). You start with that and before you check out, your buggy magically fills. I was able to find the German treats that Grandma used to send my daughter. Its a great place to find a unique gift for a special occasion.
I can never leave here without spending way more than I should, but their rewards program makes it totally worthwhile. I saved points until I had free online shipping and ordered all the heavy things! I saved points until I had 40% off furniture and then bought a new bed frame, couch, bookcase, and dining table and saved actual *thousands* of dollars. Its also the perfect place to buy interesting Christmas ornaments, Halloween decorations, stocking stuffers, kitchen items, and kid gifts. All my favorite snacks from foreign lands can be found here, and theyve usually got the best selection of papasan cushions and throw pillows in all the land.Im an addict.
I keep going in there with some complicated issue with ordering online and pickup in store. One of the managers, I think, April, has been very patient every time and always makes it right. I give her 5 stars. The actual process, not so much, but I think that has to do with the online side of it. Love all the stuff we have gotten from here.
Clean, merchandise is nicely presented throughout the store & easy to view. Aisles are free of clutter & there has always been plenty of staff readily available in the event you need assistance with locating a product, or just have basic questions pertaining to the inventory or store as a whole. When they happen to be out of a product youre searching for, they offer to contact the other locations in the area, to see if they have the item in stock. At least that has been my experience, with not only this location, but all of the ATX area locations, as well as, the store in RR.
We just had two dramatically different World Market experiences. The employees at the Round Rock store were engaged with customers, helpful, informative, and responsive. Darby and the manager were awesome! Not so at the Austin, Research Blvd. store. The employees were engaged with one another, not the customers. They were unresponsive and seemed not to want our business. They were slow and not well informed. Take your business to Round Rock!
A great place to pick out worldly home decor at a relatively inexpensive cost. There is also a wonderful selection of beer and wine from across the globe. You can also find coffee, tea, and candy from across the world.Retro toys, and other small gift type objects are also available.Worth a peek inside if youve never been!
Normally I really love World Market and I am always impressed with the purchases I make, but this one was really not my favorite. It has all of the same stuff as the other World Market stores and is set up very similarly. The major downside is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to find. Even with my GPS I was lost trying to find this place. The staff were friendly and prompt, the location is just terrible.
Fun store, wide selection, if youre looking for something unique for either yourself or a gift try this place first, they have cards, candles, food, coffee, wines, furniture, kitchen gadgets, and a whole lot more. Just go in and check it out, but be willing to spend a half hour or more to really take it all in.
I spent a lot of time just browsing here, as I was here just to choose from the selection of Torani syrups to experiment with using my sofastream. The checkout lines were a little long, but I wasnt in a rush to get anywhere, so I had more time to take a look at everything along the way to the cash register. I imagine visiting more frequently now that the nearest Asian supermarket has stopped carrying bamboo cookware.
I could spend all my money at World Market. I just want all the furniture, all the rugs, all the pillows and bedding, all the decor and candles, all the wine, all the kitchenware and all the lighting. Minus one star for unoriginal art and cheap jewelry. They have such nice things in every other section, I think they could do well with jewelry made of metal that doesnt turn green because it cost $4.
I came here to just look around and then spent 2 hours just walking and looking. They have much more than I expected. You can find lots of items here and just look around and be amazed. Its enjoyable to just look at all the interesting items and then buy things you probably wouldnt buy elsewhere.
If Crate&Barrel and Trader Joes had a baby, it would be World Market. Although it reminds me of those two stores, I believe that World Market offers their own unique products.I was navigating the interwebs for the perfect relatively priced end table. Do you know how hard that is?! Yes I can get one from Amazon, but they look tacky. Yes I know Target sells some, but they look cheap. And no Im not going to spend $300 at West Elm for one!And then I found World Market. A good looking table...check! At a relatively fair price...check! After looking at their catalogue, it probably took me 3 minutes to make up my mind about buying one.But before I went to the store to purchase the table, I made sure to sign up for their World Market Explorer program so I could get a 10% coupon. After printing out the coupon, I was out the door and on my way.Although I only had one goal in mind, its so easy to get distracted by all the modern furnitures and decorations in there. While I was waiting for an employee to get the table from the back, I unconsciously wandered over to the picnic bench area and before I knew it, it had been 5 minutes! Poor employee who was probably holding my table wondering where I had gone.To anyone looking for interior decoration ideas, World Market is the place for you! I didnt browse their food and wine selections, but I bet theyre just as interesting!
THEY HAD HONEYCOMB AND IT WAS REALLY GOODSERVICE WAS ALSO REALLY GOODassortment of food products and clothing items were cute and rare, very high quality (a little pricey) but really worth it if you like it bc youll have a hard time finding it anywhere else with the same quality
First, there were no associates anywhere on the floor. There was no way to ask anyone for help with anything. Then as I was checking out with 7 bottles of wine, the mean cashier did not even care to get a wine box for it, then she told me she had no paper bags or cardboard bottle-holders even though I could CLEARLY see them both under the cash register. She was very rude from the start.
I always, always, always, get my mother berfday, Xmas and Mothers Day gifts of chocolate, wine and scarves from here. In fact, I always, always, always end up buying her way too much chocolate and marzipan, and she worries shell get fat trying to eat it all. Therefore, I need a 12-step program.

2022-04-30The world market on Research Blvd has amazing and extremely attentive staff. I was looking for some patio furniture, but ended up spotting an awesome chandelier light. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any in the store, but was happy to take the display. The assistance I received from Geoff during the process was ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectations for customer service. This also extends to the cashier Monique as well! She was so sweet and helpful, she even dusted off the light fixture for me. This by far was one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had, and am truly thankful to both Geoff and Monique for making my shopping experience at World Market an amazing one. I would highly recommend this store and give it a 10/10!

2020-09-26Great wine selection at reasonable prices. The variety of wine keeps me coming back for more. They have wines from different countries. I like the sales they have on barbeque tools. Friendly staff. The environment is welcoming. They tend to have great sales on food items.

2021-12-31World Market has items from all over: food, spices, wines, household and kitchen things, furniture too. They have a section for nice items for kids too. Something for everyone. If you have never been....I recommend giving it a try. Allow time to shop and look in each area!

2020-03-16This location is great, organized store and friendly staff always asking if you need help:) Plenty of parking space as it shares with Bed bath and beyond and Dave & Busters. Nice and chill, hidden store.

2022-01-04Edit: after submitting an online ticket, theyve mostly fixed it. One of the coupons expired a day after I got it back so I basically lost that one, and it still took another week and a handful of emails for them to fix something inherently broken with their system which is pretty annoying.Original: Placed an online order using about $25 in coupons. The order was instantly canceled on their end for reasons not told to me. 5 days later and I still have a pending charge on my credit card and dont have any of my coupons back.
