The police officers that I interacted with were very kind and explained everything I needed to know thoroughly. My cell phone was not receiving any signal so one of the officers lent me their cell phone to make a phone call. They also drove me to a nearby location of my choice so that I could wait until my ride came to pick me up, as my car was out of commission. I appreciated how the officers treated me and I appreciate the help they provided.

Two officers stopped at our business late at night. professional and courteous. Wylie PD seems to have it together. i appreciate their dedication as a local business owner. we have been broken into in the last year along with our neighbors, so we appreciate it. they were quick, and efficient at their job. thanks guys. I felt extremely silly loosing my car keys tonight. Less than 3 minutes on the scene & a wonderful officer used his bright flashlight to help me find them..on my dash where I had left them. Officer was nice, gave me a high 5 & sent me on my way. Thanks so much! First visit to Wylie Texas just got better.

The Police Department is not there to kiss your rear-end. They are there to serve and protect. I am glad they are everywhere, and when you screw up ( expired inspection sticker/ registration, drive erratically, drive too fast, loiter in parking lots, blare your stereo unreasonably in your rental property, refuse to obey an officer when he gives you a directive to do so, and on and on and on.) I have spoke to many of them, and never were they rude! I come from a family of officers, and they are always on alert, and are naturally leery, if not they lose their edge. Do the right thing, and always remember, if you ever need 911 to save you, they will do it willfully, and at any cost!

I am extremely upset with the Wylie PD. Our family has been driving big trucks through Wylie for over 15 years. We take pride in taking care of our equipment and always keeping them in safe operating condition. Today one of our trucks was stopped by the PD at a red light to do a full DOT CMV inspection. I do not understand how we can pass a DOT inspection 2 days before, but fail the one conducted by the Wylie PD. We were ticketed for a low tire pressure on 1 of 18 tires. We recently found out that the violations we received a ticket for were falsely accused, but the PD indicates there is no way to prove that we did not change the tire after the fact. I am really upset that the Wylie PD is focusing their time on slowing down small business and not focusing on truly keeping their city safe. Disappointing!

I was one of the naive victims from when I cashed a check at Chase Bank in Murphy then drove to Home Depot in Wylie to run an errand on my way home. I parked just outside Home Depot Contractor entrance 2 spots from the main doorway. I thought that locking this envelope in the car inside the console would be wiser than carrying it around in my back pocket possibly losing it or tempting theft inside. I returned 15 minutes later, window shattered, money gone. No one anywhere around saw a thing of course.Wylie Police were called and came out and made a report. There was nothing that could be done since no one witnessed the break in. The Wylie Officer gave me his business card and personal cell phone number and followed up with me routinely during his investigation. Turns out this has been a regular occurrence in Murphy and Wylie. That gang hung out at 3 banks in the area looking for fools like me. 3 other victims all fell game to not being street wise to this style of thievery. They followed one victim all the way to Richardson and broke into his vehicle at his home.Wylie PD checked exterior cameras but none had an angle on where I parked of course. The good news is that after some hard and dedicated work, that theft ring was caught in another like robbery and prosecuted due to the investigators hard work.Simple hints from experience. Put that white envelop inside your shirt, pants, purse, or pocket. Look around the parking lot on your way to your car for a vehicle with multiple passengers, heavily tinted windows, motor running and occupied front seats. Report any suspicious vehicles to Wylie PD and bank personnel immediately!I am a senior citizen and never knew to habitually look in my rear view mirror to see if Im being followed! Go straight home if you have cash back from your transactions. If you think someone is following you, make an early turn ahead of your normal path home. Call 911 from your cell phone or home phone immediately. Get the license plate number, car description, color, make and model if you can. Do NOT stop and confront any one.My respect to the officers that helped catch these criminals. Im out my money but other fine folks wont be their next victim. Treat these dedicated offices with respect and you will be treated likewise. They have a job to do. Its not often pleasant for them or us but its their job!Thank you Wylie Police Department. Thank you Wylie for a great life here.

Didnt care if someone broke into my daughters apt. Told her the cheap lock broke off, CALL MAINTENANCE. Really good police work there. Didnt even check apt to make sure there wasnt anybody hiding in there. Talked to on duty sergeant and all he does is try to patronize me. Shut out to Wylie police department i got pulled over today going 58 on 45 she came back with no citation she says you have not received any citation since 2007 so she said keep it up and slow down for me i thanks heard dan and thanks her now
